As a part of its e-Governance initiative, the Government of Madhya Pradesh, India has launched its online citizen services portal called MPOnline.

MPOnline was identified as a best practice by the Governance Knowledge Centre research team because of its remarkable contributions in strengthening the efficiency and effectiveness of public service delivery using information and technology as a tool. Moreover, an indepth analysis of the basic design and functioning of the portal elevates the scope of public-private partnerships in the field of governance.
The portal aims at capacitating government to cater to the needs of citizens and businesses in a time and cost effective way. By integrating key government departments such as the municipality, forest, district collectorate, urban administration department, commercial tax, agriculture, panchayat, rural development, social welfare, education, health, electricity and police departments, the initiative strives to strengthen the level of transparency and accountability into government functioning and widen the scope of services delivered to the citizens.
Today, the end to end Online Assessment Exams are being favored tremendously in comparison to the traditional paper- and- pen-methods. The reason behind this transformation is that Online Assessment is a solution that:
The idea of the Online assessment arose as the need was to have a transparent, efficient and corruption free recruitments of the 2742 Posts in various districts.
The Online Application form was available on the MPOnline Portal which is integrated with the Kiosk and CSC network of about 10,000+ kiosks across the state of MP. So any candidate even from the remotest locations could easily access the online process. Even the Verification centers were set up at each district of the State for the ease of the candidates.
MPOnline has widespread coverage of kiosk across the State of Madhya Pradesh which facilitates number of services to the citizen; The Government of MP spotted four more service centre agencies to set up CSC's in the state of Madhya Pradesh. Kiosk and CSC's connect to MPOnline portal via the internet and enable the rendition of the hosted services.
Citizen can walk to the nearest service centre, where the kiosk operator will help fill forms after paying a nominal portal fee in cash. MPOnline has presence in all districts of Madhya Pradesh.
MPOnline is offering various G2C, G2B and B2C services to citizens at their doorsteps through Authorised KIOSK and Online operation with special emphasis on the rural community by which avoids unnecessary expenses, efforts and time, Also eliminates the need for coming to the Government offices and standing in long queues.
